    Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization

    Support the above market European Golf business with a creative category plan within the agreed KPI’s. Position the brand for strong, healthy growth next year and beyond in line with set budgets.

    Lead the Golf apparel category by ranging regionally relevant product that suits the needs for both on and off course retailers.

    Create and execute a seasonal plan by working with our global office to evolve future ranges whilst telling compelling brand stories.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead all seasonal merchandising requirements; global product direction, range size, European selection, retail introductions, segmentation, pricing, forecasting.
    • Control the monthly forecast plan including Units, Value (Gross & Net), Margin (Gross & Net) and ANSP; typically rolling out to 18 months.
    • Attend fortnightly forecast review meetings to analyse against budget. Present findings of the category performance to the Golf Leadership team.
    • Monitor the forecast loaded by the Demand Planners to ensure it is in line with global capacities and brand direction
    • Deliver against agreed KPI’s of sales and net margin through effective merchandising techniques and process such as retail assortments, pricing strategy and managing margin.
    • Monitor and Maintain RMA on a regular basis including duties such as HUB range assortments and WE (Western Europe) price harmonisation.
    • Execute all GTM processes from input, feedback, selection through to impactful presentation to Sales Force at launch and Retailers where required.
    • Own the preline process. Confidently present your vision, strategy and product direction to key customers to ensure their prebook growth.
    • Manage the product lifecycle from new introductions to exiting stock discount levels and the strategic destination for excess stock.
    • Take a lead role in creating briefs for upcoming seasons, constructively putting together a business plan the guarantees growth for the future.
    • Build effective relationships cross functionally with the Global BU where appropriate and marketing personnel to ensure the delivery of relevant, impactful ranges and excellent presentation in store.
    • Coordinate with Global Sports Marketing regarding our products for Tour Players and ensure we can generate sales from the selection. Coordinate with local Marketing regarding our products seeded onto Ambassadors and influencers.
    • Review, Evaluate and Construct the GTM tools for a season, including samples, presentations, videos, pricelists and catalogues, iPad selling tool. Liaising with the relevant functions to hit critical deadlines.
    • Manage the outlook of the local showroom in the Basingstoke office. Having the most up to date product, merchandised and ready to be sold to local accounts.
    • Personify the “Create the New” mentality and be confident to challenge the norm.
    • Become the expert in your field of the European team and be the primary contact for the business.
    • Priority focus on Womens as the primary category, alongside our Youth range and contemporary range adicross.

    Desirable

    • Experience and knowledge in the performance apparel market
    • Knowledge of and affinity with golf or any competitive sport

    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

    • Graduate level Marketing / Merchandising / Business equivalent
    • 2-3 years’ experience in sporting goods industry
