You will be part of the Presentation & Continuity teams. This involves the creative and accurate scheduling of all broadcast presentation elements: promotions, sponsorship, graphics, voiceover announcements and channel branding. You will plan On-Air Navigational components, writing voiceovers for brand new shows, and liaising with voiceover artists. The objective of navigation is to increase viewership and aid retention across our channels in the UK and Internationally.
Presentation Scheduling requires the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. A keen eye for detail with a passion for TV is a must. The work requires regular liaising with multiple departments, so good communication skills are key. The Presentation team complete daily schedules by gathering all the necessary broadcast elements from across the business and providing them to Playout at the end of the day. The London team collaborate and support our international offices in Germany, Italy, Poland and South Africa.
In Continuity you will strategize and generate on-air graphic excel plans, ensuring all graphics and voiceovers are available for the scheduling team that will navigate the viewer to prime spots amongst our channels. You will have the opportunity to write scripts for our voiceover artists, to help keep our viewers engaged and spread the message of our brand-new commissions coming in 2023.

Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the provision of accurate and creative schedules to Playout in a timely manner while maintaining a thorough understanding of their individual requirements and all associated services.
- Assist with creating script grids and delivery of navigation assets.
- Liaise with and prepare voice over artists for self-op sessions.
- Strategize for monthly makelists/continuity plans.
- Support Playout and collaborate to remedy on air issues
- Implement airtime strategy that has been set in collaboration with the Media Planning team. Understand and interpret promotional ratings to best effect. This will require you to attend allocation and commissioning meetings as well as viewing all promotional and branding material prior to them airing.
- Have a good knowledge of the channels, technology and operations required to perform your duties, and act as a resource for others to support their learning. – in brief up top
- Consistently identify, prioritise and deal with incidents in a timely and professional manner by implementing the appropriate fix.
- Escalate problems in the required timescales and via the most effective route, retaining ownership of the issues, promptly carrying out follow up analysis when needed.
- Take the initiative to pass on information and updates, providing and receiving training when required.
- Effectively manage late programme, continuity and promotional changes.
- Act to support less experienced colleagues in the execution of their duties as required and, when requested, to better develop the strengths of the team.
- Play a key role in the accurate attachment and resolution of issues with templates to ensure maximum minutage for Sky Media, thus playing a vital role in generating revenue.
- Increase your knowledge and understanding of key stakeholder teams such as Playout, Media Planning, Programme Planning, Creative, and Compliance.
