    The Programming Rights Co-ordinator is a key administrative position in the Programming Team. They will be responsible for data inputting and tracking all critical content and rights information for the A+E US Programming Volume Deal across linear and non-linear, for all UKJV territories.

    As a junior role in the Programming Team, the Programming Rights Coordinator will report into the Programming Manager and work closely with the Scheduling Team; they will assist in tracking content from A+E US, as well as entering all rights data into the Content Management Systems [What’s On and BSS]. The Programming Rights Coordinator will also be required to coordinate requests and comms from Fulfilment, Finance, Legal, Video-on-Demand (VoD), IT and Ops teams as well as the US Programming Team. They will be required to retrieve information swiftly and efficiently at a moment’s notice and to provide regular updates to the Programming Manager as well as internal stakeholders and external clients. A keen eye for detail and being comfortable managing large amounts of complex data is essential.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Work closely with and support the Programming Manager in tracking the progress of all relevant content from strategy to delivery.
    • Entering contracts and all required rights data for new programming – linear and non-linear – into the Content Management Systems, as well as continued maintenance of that data.
    • Collate information from US Programing Team and providing regular updates to internal stakeholders for new content and track their delivery schedules.
    • Be a key point of contact between Programming and Key Stakeholders within the business, and liaise closely with them as required; consolidating, retrieving and supplying all rights information when required
    • Provide support in the entry and creation of Purchase Orders; liaising with Acquisitions Team and Finance as appropriate.
    • Be able to liaise clearly and efficiently with the IT and Ops teams - and external service providers where appropriate - over the functionality within the Channel management systems;
    • Provide additional admin support and responsible for maintaining process documentation for the Programming team as required
    • Respond swiftly and efficiently to queries from other departments as required;providing information on any supporting materials and / or information relating to content, as directed by the Programming Manager

    Person Specification:

    Skills and Experience

    • Intimate understanding and working knowledge of content rights – linear and non-linear
    • Familiarity and level of comfort with programming contracts and rights information within;
    • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Excel in particular;
    • Experience with content management systems What’s On and BSS preferred but not essential.
    • Keen attention to detail, familiarity and comfort with working with large amounts of complex data;
    • Strong communication skills, to liaise effectively and efficiently with people across the business;
    • Ability to manage workload and work across multiple projects and to tight deadlines, with the dexterity to cope with changing priorities
    • Ability to problem solve and use initiative
    • Understanding of A+E Networks UK's brands and audiences;
