What you will be doing
The Airbus Engineering Structures Graduate Scheme is well established and widely recognised as preparing the engineers of the future, equipping them with the wide variety of skills and experience needed to maintain Airbus as one of the leading commercial aerospace companies in the world. The scheme lasts for 2 years and 4 months and during the scheme there will be placements in various departments to build on core skills, develop project management and leadership skills, transnational working and a potential placement with a customer. There is also additional tool and soft skill training, and opportunities to work on STEM projects aimed at inspiring the engineers of the future.
To Perform Structural Tests on today's Airbus products and provide data that allows our products to fly & be certificated , demonstrates strength & life
To Develop and Define Physical and Virtual Test Means in support of future aircraft products - be ready to test new materials, technologies and aircraft configurations such as ZEROe/Hydrogen aircraft, super flexible wings, blended wing body aircraft.
As a Graduate Engineer in the Test team, you will develop the core skills needed in this area of the airframe business and you will
- Develop test means and techniques that support ZEROe /New green aircraft product introduction.
- Perform Hydrogen research and testing
- Contribute to perform environmental assessments of our technologies or Airbus product using Life Cycle approach
- Work collaboratively with various teams across several functions to deliver
- new materials, fastening systems, surface protection and assembly techniques that are used in Product design
- Manufacturing and assembly processes to support the Airbus Industrial system
- Test and laboratory results that support the Engineering R&T programme and new aircraft concepts
In addition you will gain knowledge and experience of
- Project Management through placements in Chief Engineers or other departments
- Business and Financial knowledge
- Leadership Skills through working on projects with a broad range of people, as well as specific training
- Customer focus through potential placement with an Airline or Supplier

- Studying or Studied a degree in Materials Science/Aeronautical/ Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or higher)
- Good knowledge of data analysis techniques
