An exciting and challenging opportunity is available for an engineering student to work within Process, Method & Tools (P&MT) development for engineering. The successful candidate will contribute for setting the standard for a new breed of engineer for the future, extensively developing and employing multiple engineering and digitalization skills in a diverse global and collaborative environment.
You will join the DDMS* plateau at Filton and be responsible for the development and support of all Develop Physical Aircraft (DE.PA) PM&T activities related to Airframe and Landing Gear covering aircraft that are in-service, under development and planned for the future. This will involve extensive collaboration with the wider Airbus community.

What will you be doing?
The tasks will be varied and require you to use different skills (technical, project management, communication etc.) in order to complete them successfully. You will:
- Develop Process, Method and Tools (PM&T) initiatives directed towards engineering development, plant engineering & ramp up, standardization and quality, multi-component Assembly.
- Attend team meetings, review outstanding actions, representation at local and transnational meetings and forums etc.
- Perform support, coaching and awareness sessions, benchmarks, validation and acceptance as well as performance tests of Process, Method and Tools for DE.PA.
- Identify Specific design Wing (SDW) needs in terms of sizing and tool capabilities and promote new collaborative ways of working using the latest methodologies and tools (e.g. Virtual collaboration).
- Work on DDMS plateau as a multi-skilled team member acting as focal / specialists for wing structure and Landing Gear directing activities as required.

We are looking for the following skills
Technical skills:
Engineering qualification background preferred.
Competency in transverse disciplines (lean, innovation, design thinking, green & eco efficiency).
knowledge and experience in one of the following engineering toolsets:
Design tools (e.g. Catia V5, 3DEXperience, VPM, PDMLink/PASS).
Stress sizing and simulation tools (e.g. ISAMI)
Finite Element tools (e.g. Hyperworks, Patran/Nastran, Abaqus).
Programming (at least one language between Python, Java, C++).
Configuration Management principles.
You will have at least negotiation level of English, and another language is beneficial.
