Airbus Cyber Security is a European specialist in cyber security. Our mission is to protect governments, military and essential national infrastructure enterprises from cyber threats.

We have over 700 experts based across our main locations in France, Germany and the UK, each with its own Security Operating Centre.  Our goal: Protect our customers and support their needs with cyber security products. Main activities of the role may include;

  • Perform initial triage/identification of ‘Events of Interest’ using the SOC toolset
  • Ensure that all events, events of interest, exceptions and incidents are responded to in accordance with established SOC work instructions, including remedial action/recommendations. 
  • Provide basic Event and Log analysis to support SOC services
  • Produce reports (as per templates) & vulnerability/trending analysis as requested by UK SOC Mgr or key stakeholders.
  • Assisting with pre-emptive threat hunting and reactive technical investigation work.

You will need

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Networks, Computer Forensics, Engineering or related subject. (Modules in IT/OT & Cyber would be advantageous)
  • Experience working in high pressure environments
  • Complete work within the time-frames provided
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be proactive and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

This role will be based in Newport and will receive the full Airbus Defence & Space Graduate programme benefit package including an annual Salary of £27,000, plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
