    About this opportunity

    The Finance Analyst plays an important role for the UKI team and the EMEA Finance department.

    This individual conducts analyses, analyzing both product lines and the overall profitability of the business. Strong analytical and communication skills are must-have traits. In addition to performing financial and operational modelling, the Analyst is expected to develop new models that underpin sound business decisions, with financial analysis of key performance indicators. The objective of the Finance Analyst is to provide financial insights that help the decision-making process. The Analyst should also drive fresh initiatives using business intelligence systems to recommend and implement methods for increasing the company's efficiency and profitability. In addition, daily tasks may include driving process and system automation improvements.

    The Finance Analyst would develop strong relationships with all assigned business partners and EMEA markets but maintain an objective mind in evaluating their performance as a group. This position will report directly to Finance Director UK, Ireland & Nordics.

    In this role, you will be responsible for

    Financial planning & analysis activity

    • Partner with the business, develop a deep understanding of their business models, key objectives and the wider business environment
    • Design and develop new reports and reporting capability using Business Objects BI reporting tool that help improve the forecasting process and tools as required
    • Collaborate with Commercial and Marketing teams to build well thought-out, data-driven forecasts and partner with the business to course correct as needed
    • Assist in the preparation of Actual vs. Budget/Forecast analysis reporting pack for management on monthly & quarterly basis
    • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems, escalate and track problems appropriately and provide guidance on alternative solutions on any issues identified by working closely with the Business Intelligence team
    • Actively support new business activities include pricing strategies and ways to support our customers
    • Responsible for assimilating data from multiple systems and entering financial data into the planning system
    • Other duties and ad hoc projects may be assigned

    Accounting related to local legal entity

    • Coordinate month-end close activities with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, Treasury and Corporate Accounting to ensure compliance with corporate deadlines
    • Coordinate with Corporate Accounting, Revenue, Treasury teams for reporting and data requests along with any unusual transaction
    • Support the implementation of Global Corporate Policies as well as Accounting Treatment changes and US GAAP reporting. Identify accounting issues and assist in their resolution
    • Prepare Journal Entries for accruals posting in ERP systems and perform accounts reconciliation
    • Participate in finance related projects, particularly those related to ERP/systems transitions (for example, SAP)
    • Actively propose and participate in the process and system automation improvements

    About you

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent experience with 2 years of relevant experience
    • Advanced Excel skills essential and systems experience such as SAP, Business Objects BI reporting are preferred
    • Analytical mindset and numerically capable with the curiosity and energy to learn about the business
    • Ability to work on complex issues and perform in-depth evaluations with a willingness to problem solve, come up with new ideas and ask for help
    • System and detailed oriented with strong analytical skills, especially dealing with large volumes of data without sacrificing on accuracy
    • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and time effectively
    • Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with multiple departments
    • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to travel abroad up to 10% of the time for training and internal meeting purpose
    • Fluent English
