    What you’ll do

    Our Performance Improvement (PIIMA) teams work with healthy, under-performing and distressed companies across a variety of urgent, high impact situations.

    The team helps our clients deliver significant improvement in business performance and enterprise value across various industries through six key areas: revenue growth, operations, sourcing & procurement, strategy & analysis, organisational transformation and M&A.

As a Performance Improvement Intern, over a period of 8 weeks, you will learn how to consult the AlixPartners way working closely with senior consultants delivering projects, analysing corporate performance, driving cost reductions, revenue growth and profitability improvement across industries or functional area(s) of expertise.

    What you’ll need

    Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

    • Some experience in industry, preferably in a range of business-critical topics such as cost optimisation, working capital management, operations improvement, M&A, profitable top-line growth.
    • MBA with evidence of strong academic success. Degree(s) in Business, Finance, Engineering (or foreign equivalent) preferable.
    • Understanding of business issues and the ability to communicate them effectively to team leaders and clients.
    • Willingness to build professional and personal growth by working in high-impact situations under time-pressure.
    • True passion for achieving ambitious results.
    • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skill.
    • Financial Literacy and modelling skills.
    • Excellent relationship management with stakeholders while achieving results.
    • Excellent written, verbal, organisational, and executive-level presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Programming skills nice to have.
    • Advisory experience is a nice to have.
    • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of an additional language would be advantageous.
    • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
    • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
