We are looking for an Apprentice to join our London-based Claims teams.
The Opportunity

Starting in September 2023, our Claims Apprentice program will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills while spending two years working in one of our Claims teams. In addition to on-the-job development, you’ll spend 20% of your time participating on a Level 4 Insurance Specialist apprenticeship program which will enable you to apply for your Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to embark on a career in Claims and will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviors for success.
Your Team
Our Claims teams work with companies worldwide to service their client’s needs before and after an insured event/claim. We create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks, private pilots or Hollywood film actors.
You will be working within an experienced Claims team in Liability, which covers multiple lines of specialist business, such as clinical trials, pharmaceutical, product recall, transport, utilities etc. We will help you to learn and grow. Some of your specific responsibilities during apprenticeship could include:
- Support claims with new and existing clients, including investigation, collection of evidence, protocols and preparing documentation.
- Proactively prepare relevant claims information
- Handle document management for the team
- Ensure that all systems are updated accurately and in a timely fashion
- Conduct analyses of the portfolio data, to support strategic decisions for the team
- Liaise with other functions e.g. Operations, Credit Control and Underwriting
- Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and the other Claim teams
Eligibility
- This position is designed for, and ideally suited to, school leavers holding 3 A-levels (or equivalent). Those with a higher level of qualification, such as a bachelors degree, are advised to apply to one of our other early careers programmes or direct entry roles: Allianz Careers
- You must have achieved Level 2 in English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE grade 9-4/ A*-C)
- To comply with the apprenticeship eligibility rules, at the start of the apprenticeship, you must be aged 16 or over, living in England and not in full-time education

- Curious and creative mindset and a willingness to learn
- Fluent English language skills
Further Information:
- The role is fixed term for 24 months, but we expect well-performing candidates to be converted into a permanent role before the end of this term.
- We offer a generous study package with approximately 1 day a week dedicated to study
- This apprenticeship will commence in September 2023.
