    We are looking for a HR Apprentice to join our London-based HR team.

    Our Apprenticeship Program is the perfect opportunity to start your career with a global company in the dynamic and thriving insurance industry.

    Starting in September 2024, our HR Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills while spending two years working in our HR team. In addition to on-the-job development, you’ll spend 20% of your time participating in a HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship which includes the Level 3 CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to embark on a career in HR and will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviors for success.

    Your team

    Our Human Resources team sets a high standard in driving our people strategies to support business objectives. We focus on the attraction, onboarding, development and retention of our people, ensuring an outstanding employee experience and providing valued support to our business leaders.

    Joining our London HR team, you will provide HR administration support for a variety of different tasks.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to develop a career in HR as you will have exposure to all areas of the employee lifecycle and will be working with an experienced, supportive, and collaborative HR team. It is also an exciting time to join Allianz Commercial, and in particular the HR Function, where process improvements are being made to further drive both operational excellence and strategic impact.

    Some of your specific responsibilities could include

    • Support end-to-end processing of new starters (recruitment administration, preparing contracts, completing background checks, scheduling and planning new starter inductions)
    • Produce offer letters and employment contracts
    • Update HR systems
    • Support benefits administration
    • Support the managing joiner and leaver process
    • Monitor the centralised HR inbox and respond or refer as appropriate
    • Provide recruitment administration support
    • Assist with payroll administration

    Eligibility

    • This position is designed for, and ideally suited to, school leavers holding 3 A-levels (or equivalent). Those with a higher level of qualification, such as a bachelors degree, are advised to apply to one of our other early careers programs or direct entry roles: Allianz Careers.
    • You must have achieved Level 2 in English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE grade 9-4/ A*-C).
    • To comply with the apprenticeship eligibility rules, at the start of the apprenticeship, you must be aged 16 or over, living in England, not in full-time education and have the right to work in the UK.

    • Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Fluent English language skills.

    Further information

    • The role is fixed term for 24 months, but we expect well-performing candidates to be converted into a permanent role before the end of this term.
    • We offer a generous study package with approximately 1 day a week dedicated to study.
    • This apprenticeship will commence in September 2024.
