    The role

    Working as part of the Pharma Services Business Unit, you will be assisting the Technical Quality team with the delivery of a range of business and continuous improvement projects. From day one, Technical Quality staff contribute to Almac’s goal of advancing human health. This can take the form of a multitude of activities, ranging from qualification of essential Equipment, Facilities, Utilities and Software Systems; to the validation of manufacturing and packaging processes.

    Regardless of current degree pathway, placement students will find opportunities to apply their knowledge and interpersonal skills and contribute to the success of the Technical Quality department, Pharma Services division, wider Almac Group, and their customers and patients.

    These opportunities will provide placement students with a wide range of experience and exposure to various areas in the Pharmaceutical Industry including Quality, Laboratories, Manufacturing, Product Development, Project Management, Technical Support, Engineering and IT.

    Open to any students/postgraduates studying a Life Science or Technical (Engineering) related discipline that require a year in industry.

    About you

    Essential criteria

    • GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) at Grade A-C.
    • Educated to A Level (or equivalent) level.
    • Currently studying at Undergraduate/Postgraduate Level in a Sciences or Technical (Engineering) related discipline.
    • Experience working in a fast paced environment eg. part-time job/work experience.

    Desirable criteria

    The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist.

    • Additional course or qualification in a Sciences or Technical (Engineering) related discipline.
    • Experience in co-ordinating and liaising with various personnel within an organisation.
    • Previous experience working within a regulated quality system.
    • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
