ALTEN UK delivers a broad range of engineering related projects across automotive, aerospace, defence, robotics, maritime, energy and space sectors, working with a variety of clients from established household names, through to small start-ups with novel and innovative technologies.

As a managed service provider, our consultants work hand in hand with clients and their ALTEN team-mates to provide ongoing and impactful project support, with a focus on addressing engineering challenges, delivering technical solutions and improving outcomes.

Commencing in October 2022, ALTEN’s Graduate Consultant Scheme is a 2 year graduate program that provides everything you need to fast-track into delivering projects at a high level.

What you'll do

• Complete first-class induction training followed by three 6-month placements (each in a different sector).
• Experience a range of projects, businesses, sectors, and workplaces, getting to know and understand how our clients operate.
• Work alongside client teams to understand their challenges, provide expert guidance, and then follow this up with the technical know-how to put that guidance into action
• Develop technical proficiency, learn new skills - solving problems and shaping solutions
• Develop strong trusting relationships with clients and team-mates.

Requirements

• A 2.1 or first-class bachelors’ degree in science, technology, engineering, or maths.
• A commitment to personal improvement and continuous professional development.
• Emerging people and project management skills and the drive to take on responsibility
• Determination to be the best and genuinely make things better for people and the planet.
• Strong communication skills accompanied by self-awareness and emotional intelligence. You enjoy helping people.
• The ability to make sense of complexity and present technical solutions that resonate with stakeholders.
• The passion, resilience, and energy to work hard and sustain what it takes to succeed.
