We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. Role overview

Are you a Manufacturing Engineer looking to work for a rapidly expanding company where you will play a key role in the continuous improvement and ongoing success of the business?

This is a fantastic opportunity to transition into an exciting role with the chance to become a big part of the organisation, playing a key role in optimising production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring top tier quality performance.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, designing and improving manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the production process itself, ensuring efficiency and productivity by implementing processes and procedures and troubleshooting were necessary.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop efficient DFMA-aligned processes and execute plans into practice.
  • Collaborate with engineering regarding product design & changes to ensure effective production methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process flows to ensure quality, delivery and cost goals are achieved in support of departmental objectives.
  • Implement quality systems, perform root cause analysis (8D), manage NCR’s and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain SOP’s, process documentation, and generate performance reports to guide improvements.
  • Provide day to day support for manufacturing operations within the shop floor, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Perform time studies for accurate production times and costs and to provide data for operational decisions.
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for existing and new products, and related fixtures, tooling and equipment that’s consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.

Additional responsibilities

  • Develop strong working relationships with the value stream teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks to support business objectives.

Skills, knowledge and expertise

  • Manufacturing engineering experience within a company producing bespoke engineered products. Experienced in the use of standard manufacturing engineering tools such as Six Sigma, Lean and PFMEA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
  • Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a face paced environment. Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings and specifications, including geometric dimension and CAD.
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, open to change and experience as a lead, ability to mentor.
