The Salesforce Business Analyst is part of the Data & CRM team and broader Marketing, Data & Insight Department. This role will work with teams across ARUK to gather, interpret and challenge business requirements before turning these into User Stories. Working with the Salesforce Technical Product Owner, the Business Analyst will configure Salesforce to deliver functionality requested.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Define and document business requirements using appropriate documentation methodologies, and work with key stakeholders and the Salesforce Technical Product Owner to prioritise the requirements.
- Constructively challenge users on their business processes and requirements to ensure we are challenging accepted norms, encouraging standardisation of processes and, where appropriate, adapting to Salesforce.
- Document ARUK’s business requirements as User Stories and, working with users, determine acceptance criteria and tests for the stories.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions to meet their User Stories and conduct feasibility studies to understand if it fits within the existing Salesforce model or if new systems, apps or processes are required.
- Complete development work in Salesforce as requested by the Salesforce Technical Product Owner.
- Work with the sprint development team and users to execute testing plans to ensure released functionality is working as expected.
- Support the Salesforce Technical Product Owner in the management of each sprint development cycle, attending all sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the Salesforce Technical Product Owner in managing and prioritising the backlog of requirements and associated roadmap.
- Develop excellent working relationships with the implementation partner to ensure there is excellent, clear communication throughout the project.
What we are looking for
- Understanding of business analysis approaches and methodologies.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Salesforce and the Salesforce data model, specifically Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and the Nonprofit Success Pack.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience of working with end users to define business requirements and provide solutions within the technical capabilities of the CRM system.
- Experience of producing technical documentation such as process workflows, user stories and user requirements.
- Experience of administering and configuring a CRM platform, such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to build relationships, trust and respect at all levels. Furthermore, the ability to communicate effectively with people of all different technical abilities.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills.
- Excellent listening skills, receptive to feedback and demonstrates flexibility.
- A creative, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong team player who can work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with an ability to work to deadlines and reprioritise work in accordance with the organisational needs.
Additional information
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.
Our office is at 3 Riverside, Granta Park, Great Abingdon, Cambridge, CB21 6AD. Salary circa £35,000 per annum, plus benefits.
