The Amazon EU Student Programs Team is looking for ambitious graduates to join our fast-paced world. As part of this program, graduates will be assigned to a role in one of our different Amazon businesses. Available opportunities include: Amazon Vendor Services as a Brand Specialist, Amazon Merchant Services as a New Accounts Manager or Retail Vendor Recruitment as a Vendor Manager. (Note: Although we will try and place you in your preferred role, this may not always be possible.) Please note we have roles in both London and Manchester.

Amazon Vendor Services (AVS)

AVS is a paid B2B service that aims to help strategic brands partner with Amazon to grow their business. As a Graduate Brand Specialist, you will gain 360-degree exposure to all areas of e-commerce at a European level, owning the relationship with your brand(s) and developing a short- and long-term strategy with them focused on driving brand growth and Customer Satisfaction. You will act as a consultant driving selection and promotional activities, monitor and work on success metrics on a daily basis, and ensure the brand’s experience of the AVS service is at the highest level and reaching millions of customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Business Advice: Use your knowledge in deep data analytics to identify business opportunities and provide recommendations to improve sales and margin by pitching and onboarding vendors to Amazon programs such as Amazon business.
  • Selection: Help grow selection by managing the launch of new products and improving discoverability. You will identify product gaps, onboard the new products and be responsible for the ramp up of these products
  • Availability: Drive supply-chain operational excellence initiatives by reducing costs, defects, lead times, and by managing stock in our fulfilment centre. Amazon offers several supply chain options to our vendors and you will pitch and own the implementation of those together with our supply chain experts.
  • Traffic: Provide recommendations for the brand’s marketing and advertising campaigns to promote new products, increase traffic and improve conversion such as working together with the vendors implementing their influencer campaigns to target the right customers.
  • Conversion: Plan, implement and manage promotional activities for our many events such as Prime Day where you will help your brands generating sales or even create new deal events to make our customers happy. Furthermore, you will improve the customer journey on Amazon through enhanced content on detail pages by performing walk the store sessions to reduce customer pain points.

Amazon Merchant Services

Amazon Merchant Services covers all third-party merchants’ activity related to selling on Amazon as well as the specific services and products we offer to help develop and grow these sellers. As a New Account Manager, you will have responsibility for the growth of Amazon’s third-party merchants across a variety of different product categories and from different countries. Note that for this role we are accepting applications for 2023 and 2024. Please ensure you indicate your preferred start date.

Key job responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and call important leads
  • Build an understanding of customer pain points, requirements, and potential value that can be delivered by Merchant Services
  • Deliver and report on a set of business development targets
  • Identify target accounts using market data and industry intelligence
  • Work with different parts of the Amazon business to implement improvement projects, including working with category teams, product teams, and technical support teams

Retail Vendor Recruitment (RVR)

The Retail Vendor Manager evaluates, recruits, and on-boards new vendor partners for our EU Amazon platforms. Targeting the most relevant brands/products for our customers, you will aim at recruiting new vendors, making their selection available on the website, and drive their growth through joint planning of marketing and advertising on Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and reach out to new vendors, analyze their potential for Amazon. You will lead first steps, by contacting potential partners or attending commercial events and trade fairs, and confidently explaining advantages and benefits of partnering with Amazon.
  • Lead negotiations for commercial terms, pricing, and logistics setup
  • Be a business consultant to new vendors and provide insights and advice for them, being able to deal with different business profiles and sectors.
  • Plan, negotiate, create, and measure the performance of various advertising tools and deal events like Prime Day and Black Friday

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in your final year, to receive a Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD OR have graduated within 12 months of amazon.jobs application date.
  • C1 level English language skills
  • Studies within Engineering, Commerce, Business administration or similar field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in MS Office programs as Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical skills
  • Planning, prioritization and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, consulting, negotiation or supply chain is a plus
  • Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML is a plus
  • Competence in other European languages
