    Software Engineering Intern

    AMD Belfast is growing and has several positions for interns to assist with the development of leading-edge FPGA-based hardware and embedded software platforms for use in data center acceleration applications.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for talented and motivated engineers to learn and contribute within teams focused on either software development or FPGA IP design/verification. The roles will last for a duration of 12 – 15 months and will give successful candidates the benefit of professional guidance from an experienced engineering team, alongside the ability to grow both personally and professionally.

    You will be working with the latest FPGA hardware and software technologies from AMD-Xilinx, including Vivado Design Suite, Versal ACAP devices and Alveo data center boards using the Vitis unified software platform.

    Education

    • Studying towards Masters or Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related subject

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong C/C++ programming skills
    • Familiarity with Embedded Firmware Development
    • Strong Operating System and RTOS knowledge
    • Familiarity with scripting languages: Python, Tcl, Perl, Unix preferred
    • Familiarity with digital circuit design
    • Excellent teamwork & problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
