Responsibilities
A challenging, but exciting, opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Buyer within the Material Control Function. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager your responsibilities will include: supporting all key stakeholders in the Management & Scheduling of goods &/or services, undertaking Data Analysis in order to support business critical decisions, manage & mitigate risk in the scheduling process, supporting the procurement function in Project Delivery around critical Supply Chain activities.
To be successful in this role we expect the right candidate to develop a sound understanding of the current ERP/MRP systems & processes together with a proactive attitude to understanding the business systems, products & supply chains currently being utilized. Armed with this knowledge you will apply, and deliver, the necessary outputs required to support the Departmental and Organisational activities & objectives.
- Support for Scheduling & Management of Demands (Internal & External to the Business)
- Place Purchase Orders in a timely manner to support those Business Requirements whilst ensuring the Cost / Quality / Service expectations of the Business are met.
- Undertake Expediting Activities in order to ensure the On Time Delivery of those Goods / Services placed
- Drive Data Accuracy & Integrity within the Planning & Procurement Aspect of the Role
- Identify & Support areas for Process Improvement.
- Support Planning & Procurement in Day-to-Day Activities & Projects as needed.
- Engage with the Supply Chain & Planning Team to support Production Output
- Support of the Procurement Team to ensure deliverables against key projects
