Amey delivers facilities and estate management services, including planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, and project management into 59 Prisons on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS). The Business Improvement team provides data and intelligence to the operations team in order to ensure we deliver a safe and compliant contract whilst also adding value to the customer.
The role is varied and will allow the opportunity to work alongside the operations managers ensuring all matters relating to compliance, quality, health & safety and achieved while getting a better understand of the technical statutory and mandatory delivery, energy, and project requirements of the Facilities Management Industry.
You will be responsible for
- Designing, creating and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
- Advise on Application Lifecycle Management for Power Apps and flows.
- Supporting ‘citizen developers’ on the contract and across the wider business to develop their own low-code solutions.
- Challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities to maximise Power Platform use.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to advise on Power Platform adoption and strategy. Identifying opportunities to implement tools that support the operational delivery of the account and enable improved performance.
- Ensuring the contract works within governance and security of Power Platform with regard to compliance.
- Identifying and fulfilling (either directly or indirectly) training needs relating to Power Platform.
- Monitoring the latest developments relating to Power Platform and Modern Workplace applications and engaging with the Amey Group IT team to identify relevant developments and tools that can support the MOJ contract.
Skills & Experience
- Experience with basic programming or with writing macro’s in MS excel.
- Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform.

- Minimum 2:2 Degree in Business Management or Engineering Discipline
- A driving licence is desirable.
- Available to join the programme in September 2024
- Excellent communication skills – Written and oral
