Transpennie Amey is working in partnership with Network Rail on the Transpennie route upgrade project since 2018, with an increased focus on providing reliable, frequent, faster, and greener railways to the North of England.
Covering 76 miles of railway between Manchester, Leeds, York, Selby and onto Humberside, we lay the foundations, covering upgrades to civils, track, railway systems and electrification to the west of Leeds.
By completing such works, we aim to support Network Rail with cutting carbon emissions and ensuring to deliver a smoother, more enjoyable journey to their customers.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the engineering activity on allocated projects including support for design reviews; communication and consultation with other functions (design, install and test) over changes; and interfaces with other disciplines (including facilitating inter-disciplinary check meetings).
- Assist the Contractor’s Responsible Engineer as required.
- Assist the Project with the definition of the engineering resource required to deliver the project plan and provide engineering review of the method statements and risk assessments proposed for the work.
- Survey, inspection, investigation, feasibility, detailed design, report preparation and project implementation.
- Outline cost estimating and management and monitoring of project budgets.
- Project planning, programming, cost control and administration.
- Preparation and/or checking design calculations, contract documentation, drawing production, technical documents, and project reports in accordance with the project brief and in compliance with current standards.
- Attend meetings with the Client and other project related organisations.
- Maintain high technical standards, consistent with the project brief and compliance with Amey HSEA requirements.
- Support and supervise junior or less experienced team members.
