    We are looking for suitable candidates to join our 2023 summer internship within our Consulting business unit. This is an exciting opportunity to gain work experience with leading infrastructure services and engineering company, lasting 10-12 weeks.

    Our Summer Internship programme provides a fantastic opportunity to gain real industry and project experience within our Consulting business unit, commence or develop your career, given real responsibility from day one, on high profile projects with clients such as Network Rail, Highways England, Heathrow Airport and New York MTA.

    From day one you’ll be given real responsibility, gaining invaluable experience and exposure working alongside our industry experts and across your team.

    The Role

    As a Summer Intern, you will be working alongside the team to deliver the following:

    • The design and assessment of existing and new bridges and civil structures across a range of structural types and materials such as reinforced concrete, steel composite, pre-stressed concrete, post-tensioned structures;
    • Preparation of feasibility / options studies, detail design development and contract document creation;
    • Design calculations, drawings, technical documents and project reports
    • Project planning, programming, cost control and administration;
    • Asset inspection, site supervision and reporting;

    We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:

    • Currently studying a degree in in the following disciplines including Data Science/Analysis, Maths/Statistics, or Computer Science/Software Development.
    • Available to join the programme in June 2023
    • Excellent analytical, written, communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with evidence of problem-solving capability
    • Self-motivated with the ability to plan and prioritise time
