    The SGS team located at ADI’s Limerick site is seeking a motivated Design Verification Engineer to provide support to our overall ADI Sustainable Energy business and to work on the development of cutting edge new product solutions for our next generation products

    The Smart Grid Solutions (SGS) group is part of the overall ADI Sustainable Energy organisation. As we move to a low-carbon economy, the value placed in understanding energy consumption has never been greater. With the rollout of EV charging infrastructure, the rapid adoption of renewables like solar PV, and the move towards an increasingly distributed model of power generation, there has never been a greater need to provide increased insight into the measurement and use electrical power. SGS next generation products will fuse the complex analog front ends required in this space with the advantages of digital processing at the edge. The successful candidate will have an interesting and challenging role in a this very innovative area.

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to

    • Create chip-level and block level testbenches for both digital and mixed-signal components
    • Responsible for delivering complete and correct verification of hardware level requirements
    • Develop/maintain the verification plans, test cases, and analysing test results
    • Develop efficient/accurate analog circuit models and system models
    • Implement simulation testbenches that verify the product’s usage scenarios
    • Collaborate closely with the Design & Firmware teams during Architectural and Design phases to ensure that comprehensive and effective Verification Infrastructure and methodologies are in place ranging from individual blocks to chip-level verification for these SoCs
    • Work within the overall ADI technical community to proliferate & share best practice methodologies

    Minimum qualifications

    • Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • Understanding of the fundamentals of circuit design
    • Good understanding of Verilog (with SystemVerilog and UVM knowledge a strong advantage)
    • Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential.
    • Diligence to work independently
    • Commitment to collaboration and sharing knowledge with colleagues
