Are you a graduate with a science or engineering degree looking to kick-start your career in an exciting and innovative field? Look no further than Element Six!
We are a leading producer of synthetic diamond products and other super materials, utilizing their unique properties to deliver revolutionary solutions. These enable a wide range of applications from drilling and machining, optics, semiconductors, electrochemistry, and quantum sensing, to name a few. In addition to continually pushing the performance of existing offerings, Element Six develop new concepts and novel solutions for commercialisation in partnership with some of the world’s leading technological innovators.
Your programme
As part of our graduate recruitment scheme, you will embark on a year-long training programme with existing project teams which will cover all aspects of innovation, from the fundamentals and practicalities of growing diamond in our laboratories, to advanced material-characterisation techniques and material-performance testing. You will work alongside some of the leading experts in the field and have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment at our world-class Global Innovation Centre in Harwell, Oxfordshire. As part of the training programme you will also learn about the importance of intellectual property and other critical topics that are at the heart of our innovation.
At the end of the training programme, you will transition into a project role and to begin your career path. Here you will have the opportunity to apply your newfound knowledge to real-world problems and make a meaningful contribution to our ongoing research and development efforts.

Qualifications:
- A good degree (2:1 or higher) in a science or engineering subject.
- Be practically minded, with an ability to do hands-on laboratory work requiring attention to detail, in a safe and systematic way.
- A quick learner and a willingness and ability to develop technical expertise in new fields of application.
- Good interpersonal and presentational skills, and able to work as part of a team.
- An ability to use scientific and engineering theories and models.
- Undertake data analysis to explain observations and develop technical solutions.
