Are you a passionate graduate scientist with a keen interest in taxonomy? APEM are looking for skilled and dedicated Freshwater Scientists, looking to build a career in freshwater ecology.
About the role
You will work predominantly in the lab, assessing the health and ecological integrity of freshwater habitats, sorting and identifying macroinvertebrate and river sediment samples. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to discoveries in the field, from investigating of specimens to the monitoring of invasive species.
To succeed in this role, you should hold a BSc in a relevant subject and ideally have a foundation level knowledge in Freshwater Ecology. Previous experience with taxonomic ID of invertebrates, or any relevant field experience would be advantageous.
