As a Graduate Digital Product Owner, you will be at the forefront of our digital transformation, driving the development and management of our online ordering portal My.apetito. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for digital technology, product development, and e-commerce.
You will work with colleagues across the business to understand how digital can support commercial goals and drive superior customer experience. Understanding our users is crucial to delivering a strategic roadmap of continuous improvement that will ensure our digital products are industry leading and a source of competitive advantage for apetito.
The Graduate Digital Product Owner will build on their commercial and digital knowledge to act as a digital ambassador providing innovative solutions to business problems and customer painpoints.

This role is based in our Trowbridge Head office and you’ll need to be in the office at least 3 days per week. Remote working is available for up to 2 days (dependant on operational commitments).

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities will include:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Working closely with the Head of Digital Products, develop and articulate the vision for the online ordering portal, aligning it with the company's digital strategy.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the team is working on features that deliver maximum value to the users and the business.
- User Experience & Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the portal is user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and aligns with brand guidelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, developers, and designers. Effectively communicate product plans, benefits, and results.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data to make informed decisions about the product, including user behaviour analytics, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Project Management: Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring that deadlines are met and the product meets quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and adapt the product based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
This role will occasionally require out of hours work to deploy features that require the site to come offline.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong interest in digital products and e-commerce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- understanding of Agile methodologies and principles (SCRUM)
- Familiarity with user experience design and testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desirable
- Experience in a digital or e-commerce environment (including internships).
- Knowledge of web technologies and platforms.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
