    Apex is looking for an Assistant Fund Accountant to assist with all aspects of our fund accounting for a number of Private Equity close-ended funds. The hybrid role will be based in Milton Keynes and may require travel occasionally to customer premises, also typically in London. This full-time role comes with a generous salary and benefits package.

    What you will do

    The Assistant Fund Accountant will be responsible for their own allocated workload, including preparing quarterly Private Equity Limited Partnership accounts to agreed internal deadlines and to a suitable standard for review.

    You can also expect to prepare ad hoc information requests where required and assist with ad hoc projects from time to time. During your first few weeks in this Assistant Fund Accountant role, you can expect to begin work on some of the following:

    • Posting double entry journal into Investran
    • Creditor and debtor account reconciliations
    • Accrual calculations
    • Preparation of accounting pack for review
    • Ensuring all client queries are responded to in an appropriate and timely manner

    What you need to bring

    To apply for this Assistant Fund Accountant role, you will need to be educated to a degree level and have experience working in an accounting role. You will also require the following:

    • Experience managing your workload and meeting deadlines
    • Knowledge of designated clients, including understanding the key points of their Limited Partnership Agreements
    • Proficiency in the use of Investran private equity administration and accounting system
    • Understanding of the financial services industry would be beneficial
