Apex Group is looking for a full-time ESG Carbon and Climate Analyst in London, and the hybrid role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
The role
As a Carbon and Climate Analyst in the ESG team, you will be responsible for data research, analysis and reporting. You will utilise the company's proprietary tools to evaluate the carbon and climate performance of investors and their assets, as well as conducting independent research and development to improve our climate-focused technology, products and services.
In your first few weeks in this Carbon and Climate Analyst role, you can expect to:
- Conduct sophisticated research and analysis on ESG standards, data and trends with a specific focus on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions measurement
- Work on projects involving assessing and improving the environmental impact of technologies and companies, such as carbon footprints, avoided emissions calculations and climate impact strategies
- Be a central member of the team that develops technical tools and reporting outputs for investors and their portfolio companies to drive and communicate meaningful, measurable climate impact
- Collaborate with other arms of the ESG department to ensure impact products are aligned and positively influence other aspects of product development and delivery.
About you
To apply for this Carbon and Climate Analyst role, you will need professional experience and/or education background that demonstrates strong quantitative skills. You will also require the following:
- Educated to a minimum of undergraduate level, with postgraduate degree preferable
- 12-24 months of experience working in sectors related to technical analysis or consultancy
- Knowledge of how to measure and quantify environmental impact metrics, particularly greenhouse gas accounting
- Expertise in data analysis, with experience problem-solving across areas related to carbon accounting, climate change and its impact on businesses and their investors.
