    What you'll do

    As Junior Product Owner, you will be part of the team building new software and improving existing software systems. You will collaborate internally with the Product team to gather requirements for the problem to be solved, and with the Software Delivery team to decide what is needed to design and deliver the best solution for its clients. You will also work collectively with key business stakeholders to help them understand how to use and maintain the new software solution.

    You will:

    • Work with more senior Product Owners on the definition and delivery of complex features.
    • Work independently on the definition and delivery of small features or extensions to existing features
    • Help the team to get a shared understanding of the business domain and the
    • problem to be solved
    • Establish user stories for simpler features with the team to represent the scope of the solution
    • Facilitate the sizing and prioritization of the user stories
    • Support the efficient delivery of the solution by the Software delivery team
    • Ensure the solution built by the Software delivery team meets the requirements
    • Contribute to the release planning and transition activities of the software into UAT and production

    What we're looking for

    Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

    • Competency in conceptual modelling; ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions.
    • Able to demonstrate background in software quality assurance
    • Experience in turning complex information into easy-to-understand descriptions for both technical and non-technical audiences, such as business departments and software delivery teams.
    • Experience in capturing requirements using a variety of techniques such as user stories/acceptance criteria
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good stakeholder management skills
    • Good element of technical knowledge with the appetite and ability to grow understanding of software concepts and technologies such as databases, user interfaces, API’s, batch functionality, architecture
    • The ability to take a hands-on approach to learning about a system, for example, querying databases, making requests to APIs and following user journeys.
    • Ability to further develop experience in facilitating a team consensus on scope, design decisions and implementation decisions.
    • Exposure to Agile team working..
    • A dynamic outlook with the ability to adapt to changing scope and requirements.
