As Software Engineers at AquaQ our work is mainly based in fintech (financial technology) providing bespoke front end and back end solutions for our clients. These products range from cross platform mobile apps using Ionic / Cordova and Angular, to building pipelines in AWS to Machine Learning Solutions using Hadoop / Scala and Python. At our clients' request we can be responsible for deploying code into a production environment using Jenkins / Docker.
We also build products for our clients that are kdb+ related. We interact with kdb+ and the kdb+ team at AquaQ! We provide solutions to insert, extract and visualise kdb+ data. Depending on the client request we can provide data manipulated in such a way that it can be processed by kdb+ i.e. so it can be “inserted” into the kdb database. We can retrieve the data from kdb+ i.e. "extract" and integrate the analytics performed by kdb into more accessible types of technology for example a React website i.e. “visualise”.

To apply for this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related subject
- Experience in the use of Java and/or React
- Ability to learn new programming languages
- Excellent client facing skills
