    Our internships last typically between 8 to 12 weeks and you’ll be working in our: computational design team, based out of Guildford.

    Computational Design

    Our computational Design team are incorporated into project teams and encouraged to use their computational design skills to develop or optimise processes used on real life projects.  As a summer intern on a 10–12-week internship, you will work in collaboration with a diverse range of engineers, particularly, civil, structural, systems and data analysts.

    The successful intern will work with experienced engineers who will guide and mentor them during their time at Arcadis as they work on live projects to evaluate the need for new computational, parametric and automated design methodologies, Document and present how these methodologies enhance the design process and deliver adaptive solutions as well as Liaise with project teams about how to integrate the new solution into existing projects and design processes.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global design consultancy and on high profile projects, whilst providing you with real-life computational design problems to overcome.

    • Preferred Degrees: BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Design or similar

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Studying towards a related degree
    • Have the permanent right to live and work in the UK
    • You will enjoy working in a team environment and have the confidence to work under pressure
    • You will be innovative & creative
    • Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity
    • Be a strategic and analytical thinker
    • Excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge appropriate for the area you are applying to
    • Relevant work experience through internships would be advantageous
    • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
