    We are looking for an Energy Analyst Graduate to join our team on a permanent basis, where you will provide a proactive approach to managing energy consumption in stores.

    This will involve identification and resolution of issues causing excessive energy consumption and highlighting energy reduction opportunities through reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Data analysis of energy consumption, maintenance history, and equipment telemetry.
    • Identify and prioritise energy saving measures.
    • Calculate potential for energy savings.
    • Model energy usage dependence on weather variables using regression analysis or similar.
    • Engage with contractors to implement changes to reduce energy consumption.
    • Engage with the client to highlight store process improvements to reduce energy consumption.
    • Engage with the client around developments and recommendations.
    • Carry out root cause analysis to understand reasons behind energy consumption.
    • Develop and implement processes to assist energy reduction.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
    • Identification of maintenance requirements for sub optimal asset performance.
    • Formal reporting of energy reduction results to the customer.
    • Assist with the development of financial cases for energy saving initiatives.
    • Work closely with clients to assist with their projects.
    • Support with client requests as required.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • Degree qualification or equivalent in a suitable energy related subject.
    • Experience in using Microsoft Power BI and Python.
    • Experience with interoperating large data sets and using databases to for trend analysis.
    • Experience of working cross-functionally.
    • Capable of undertaking complex technical analysis.
    • Preferred experience in an energy analysis role.
    • Analytical and process driven approach.
    • Ability to demonstrate advanced MS Excel skills through the use of macros and pivot tables.
    • Highly organised, structured, and disciplined.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to relay complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Professional understanding of operational energy patterns and consumption variances.
    • Ability to closely liaise and guide contractors. 

    Experience

    • Knowledge of building services including refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical preferable.
    • Knowledge of food retail operations preferable.
    • The post holder must be able to able to work flexibly, and the role will sometimes require meetings at client’s offices and facilities.
