Arjun Infrastructure Partners was founded in 2015 as an independent asset management company dedicated to direct infrastructure investments. We currently manage €2.5 billion of assets invested across 12 investments or investment platforms on behalf of a range of prominent institutional investors.
Our team of 20 professionals and a further 10 industry partners has extensive operational and financial experience in the utilities, energy & renewables and transportation infrastructure sectors. About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a recently established but fast-growing investment management organisation. Reporting to an Analyst, this role will work across the company to support a wide variety of business activities. You'll build a wide skillset through a range of responsibilities, including working with colleagues and Arjun’s portfolio companies to improve ESG (environmental, social and governance) performance across the portfolio. The company has doubled in size in the past 12-18 months and has ambitious aspirations for future growth.
This is an entry level position with a view to progress to senior analyst with possible paths of future development into investment, asset management or client relations.
Key responsibilities
- Compliance (including but not limited to):
- Supporting Chief Operating Officer in compliance activities and reporting to Arjun’s Management Committee / Board.
- Communicating with the compliance advisory company on a weekly basis (check-in emails or calls)
- Prepare quarterly Compliance Reports for the Management Committee
- Prepare memos for the Risk Management & Compliance Committee
- Compliance induction of new employees (requires knowledge of Arjun’s compliance manual and procedures)
- Lead on quarterly compliance reviews
- Monitor, manage, amend future compliance project schedule in a proactive manner
- Lead on compliance related presentations, particularly for investor due diligence
- Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance
- Draft annual responsible investment report
- Liaise with portfolio companies to collect relevant ESG metric data on quarterly basis and produce analysis of ESG performance across the portfolio
- Supporting ESG implementation initiatives as per annual ESG development plan
- Under the direction of an Investment Principal (inlcuding but not limited to):
- Onboarding new clients – manage “Know Your Client” process for new investors in conjunction with Fundraising Director (e.g. filing in forms; co-ordinating with counterparties, investors, lawyers; arranging signatures; creating/maintaining structure charts; certifications)
- Manage investor Q&A process, in conjunction with financial advisers and/or due diligence advisers as appropriate
- Ad-hoc support on deals (e.g. co-ordinating admin duties on new deals such as managing data rooms; assisting with presentations)
- Liaise with advisers as appropriate
- Accounting and Finance
- Supporting Financial Controller in maintaining financial records, preparation of invoices, reports and as and when required
- Marketing and client relations
- Maintain data room for Arjun and clients, to support diligence on Arjun and client reporting
- Supporting Fundraising Director in maintaining Arjun’s website and maintenance/reporting of client and opportunity data
- Prepare ‘teasers’ on new investment opportunities to be presented to clients and potential clients, working with investment team members to gather the relevant information for the teasers. Ensure teasers comply with financial promotions checklist and are presented in a consistent format.
- General
- Actively support and participate in wider business and corporate development activities
- Complete and record compliance monitoring activities (including Personal Account Dealing, Training, Gifts & Hospitality Register)
Candidate Profile
We look for candidates who are eager to make an impact and fulfil the below requirements:
- 2:1 or above achieved at degree level
- Very high level of numeracy and financially literate
- Able to collaborate as part of a team and interact effectively at all levels with exellect communication skills
- Resourceful problem solver, willing to get stuck in as part of a vibrant team
- Being able to demonstrate an interest in investment management and/or infrastructure would be beneficial but not a must
