Are you interested in a career in People & Organisation Consulting?

We are looking for Assistant People & Organisation Consultants to join our team in London as part of a 1-year industrial placement. This role will start in the summer of 2022 and end by summer 2023.

The position offers an opportunity for People & Organisation science students to apply their emerging understanding in technical areas such as organisation design, development, team leadership, collaboration and workplace wellbeing while gaining practical experience on a wide range of projects in a professional consulting environment.

The Assistant People & Organisation Consultant will be supported by our growing, collaborative and creative team and gain experience from working with other colleagues in Operations Consulting and wider Arup. The role will involve working as part of a team to design and deliver solutions across the different areas of People & Organisation for our clients. Your work may involve activities such as:

  • Undertaking qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis to drive insights and diagnostics on clients' organisational behaviour and cultural landscapes
  • Supporting delivery of fact-finding and client co-creation workshops in remote and hybrid working contexts
  • Applying knowledge of business change and organisation development tools and techniques to make practical recommendations to client challenges
  • Engaging with and supporting clients in transition and change implementation activities

What are we looking for?

We encourage our Assistant People & Organisation Consultant to demonstrate drive and motivation, a willingness to learn, be adaptable, and collaborate with those around you to use your analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively deliver an excellent service to our clients. As such we are looking for the following qualifications, skills and attributes in you:

  • Studying a relevant degree in a People-focused field, such as: Psychology, Behaviour Science, Human Resource Management, Organisational Development
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally
  • Excellent digital skills and possesses a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and generate insights from data
  • Innovative and creative approach to problem solving

To be eligible, you must be studying a degree course that allows you to complete an industrial placement programme.

Arup Industrial placement opportunities typically run for 11-12 months. You must be available to start on the opportunity during Summer 2022 and commit to completing the programme in full.
