Whether guiding a client from concept to realisation or focusing on supporting our client operate assets more effectively, our maritime team members are involved in masterplanning, due diligence and feasibility studies, inspections and assessments, consents, engineering design, project management, construction supervision and more. We work with maritime clients to respond to the climate and biodiversity emergencies, bringing a whole-systems approach and technically robust trusted advice, collaborating across our exciting industry.

As Arup continues to focus on digital transformation, we seamlessly combine digital and data-related capabilities with Arup's traditional engineering and design strengths to help solve complex problems more efficiently and offer new ways of working in this digital age.

What are we looking for?  

Right now, we're looking for Graduates to join our diverse, fun and tightly knit team of bright professionals in London supporting projects all over the world.

We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes, and skills

  • Minimum of Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Engineering Science  
  • Enthusiasm for a career in Maritime underpinned by knowledge and understanding of the ports and coastal sectors 
  • Strong understanding of civil and coastal engineering including geotechnics, environment, structures and coastal processes  
  • Enthusiasm for a career in Maritime underpinned by a knowledge and understanding of our sector and work 
  • A passion for sustainability and decarbonisation of maritime infrastructure 
  • Have an analytical thought process and/or a systems' thinking approach 
  • Experience or applying machine learning and/or digital automation 
  • The aptitude to work on your own initiative and be proactive 
  • Programming experience with coding languages is desirable 
  • Working towards accreditation with a relevant professional institution (ICE, IStructE or similar) is desirable
  • Some experience with computer aided design and GIS is advantageous 

You must be available to start this opportunity in September 2022.
