    Overview of the role

    We're looking for Graduate Virtual Designers / Developers to join our Manchester team. In this creative and technical role you will work closely with a number of different teams to deliver projects at different design stages, scales and visual impacts. You will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of skills, gain an in-depth knowledge of the processes involved and gather invaluable work experience in a dynamic and vibrant environment.

    We're looking for graduates with curiosity, personal drive, design flair and technical knowhow. If you can combine these skills with an understanding of (or willingness to learn about) the built environment and a desire to deliver excellent services for clients, we'd like to hear from you.

    Essential

    • Recognised degree or diploma, or higher qualification, preferably in either Architecture, Computer Animation, Computational Design, Visual Effects, Information Systems Design or Data Science with a prediction of 2:1 or higher. 
    • Expert knowledge and awareness of the world of CAD/CAE/CAM and its potential application within Arup 
    • Real time graphics engines [Unity3D / Unreal Engine] 
    • Big data management 
    • Computer graphics, animation, games and visual effects production 
    • Data Analytics 

    Desirable

    • Machine learning 
    • Computer Vision & Image Processing, Advanced animation techniques, 
    • Robotics 
    • 360 image and light field development 
    • Photogrammetry 
    • C, C++, Java, Processing, C#, Objective-C 
    • Networks in the Internet of Things 

    You must be available to start this opportunity in September 2022.
