Job Description
As a Trading Optimisation Specialist you will be responsible for the day to day management and optimisation of the ASOS website(s) and app(s) including navigation updates, search configuration and product ranking. Reporting into a Site Manager, you will support trade and help to optimise visitor shopping journeys with a focus on protecting conversion and maximising the onsite experience.
You will be:
- Planning, testing, and executing detailed ranking and sorting rules to ensure category and search pages are relevant and fully optimised across channels/devices
- Ensuring website standards are maintained to maximise business performance and customer journey
- Liaising with buying and merchandising teams to identify key trends & big buys for the season and using this information to promote the best product and create and inspire the shopping experience
- Managing Digital Commerce Assistant(s) and responsible for their long-term development
- Producing and analysing detailed sales, site and channel reports by market in order to optimise the user journey, and ensure relevant product positioning and categorisation
- Managing and optimising the category and navigation structure across channels/devices
- Working with the relevant tech platform teams on systems development, requirements, and testing
- Managing onsite search, ensuring optimal configuration across markets and enhancing the search experience
- Working with the site managers to ensure the smooth execution of selling strategies across key events and campaigns
- Working closely with relevant teams to plan and execute trade events and other initiatives
- Supporting with campaign launches, rollout of new features and digital products
- Supporting the management team in delivery of department strategy, driving the team forward through effective leadership, training, and development
- Acting as a role model and nurturing a positive and productive working environment
Qualifications
We’d love to meet, someone with:
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Experience of using online merchandising systems
- Competent using systems and comfortable working in a technology-based environment
- Commercially aware, customer obsessed with the ability to use initiative and intuition
- Excellent communicator with good motivational & leadership skills
- Keen eye for detail with the ability to troubleshoot and identify issues
- A Self-motivated and proactive approach
- Flexible, agile, and open to change
- Positive attitude, self-aware and self-motivated
- Strong analytical skills
- Line management experience preferred but not essential
