Junior Copywriters at ASOS are highly organised, efficient, team centric figures, who have an eye for fashion, photography and seamless operations. As one of our Junior Copywriters, you will be working closely with your team across all levels and be an active member of the Studios Team. You will contribute to department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively to deliver the best e-commerce assets in the industry for our 20 something customer. You have the ability to successfully be a part of a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset.

What you’ll be doing

  • Reporting directly into one of the Senior Copywriters, you will be contributing to the day-to-day running of the Copy team. This will primarily include product page enrichment of 1000+ products per day
  • Ensuring budget, cost per product, creative quality and volumetric KPIs are adhered to
  • E-commerce copy writing experience
  • The ability to write to a strict house style with an informal but technical tone
  • Responsible for writing detailed product descriptions across the full range of ASOS product, ensuring information is accurate, informative and consistent across the site
  • Exceptional multitasking ability with outstanding organisational skills; able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment, consistently prioritising workload
  • Responsible for regulating and checking any relevant size, fit and care information fed from the BAs to maximise customers’ ease of selection and shopping on-site
  • Regularly contribute to creative work, including writing brand descriptions and category headers
  • The ability to work quickly and efficiently with a strong eye for detail and catching errors
  • Possess an excellent editorial understanding and visual awareness
  • Research and make copy notes on samples handed over to be shot
  • Possess excellent commercial, brand and technical awareness, while keeping up to date with current copy and e-commerce content trends
  • Working in conjunction with the rest of the Studios teams to ensure all product launch dates are met
  • Assist with team admin tasks
  • Consistently achieve up to 2% above set daily target to drive efficiency and evolve team offering
  • Maintain an error rate of as little as 5% or below
  • The ability to drive and achieve personal and department objectives
  • Assisting the Copy Team in constantly striving to improve quality and efficiency
  • Participating in team growth and development to meet the department strategy
  • Contributing to team meetings and attending departmental meetings when required

  • Working with the Copy Team to support the induction of new junior full-timers when required

  • Developing your communication and raising your profile at ASOS Studios with the support of your team, in line with ASOS Behaviours policy
  • Working closely with your team across all levels to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team
  • Demonstrating excellent brand awareness by working on areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when instructed to ensure we are market leaders
  • Participate in new workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processes
  • Participate in departmental technology software and hardware launches when instructed
  • Participate in projects to support the department strategy and any other adhoc tasks defined by the Copy Team Leader and Post Production Manager
