Job Description
You will be part of a team responsible for managing and implementing full assortment price trading. You will be responsible for supporting the Pricing Merchandiser and Assistant Pricing Merchandiser in the smooth running of the price change process, ensuring price changes are managed accurately and on time, and supporting in the reporting process of all associated price changes. You will work closely with the Commercial and Territory managers and wider Pricing Team interpreting and coordinating analysis from price tests and pricing initiatives to support the Pricing Merchandiser / Head of Pricing and Promotion.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the price change execution process end to end working with the tech teams to establish seamless process and increasing levels of automation
- Support the Pricing Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser by surfacing required data and presentation of data, in order to communicate analysis and recommendations to wider Pricing team and key internal stakeholders
- Start to build knowledge and understanding of pricing levers that impact territory and product type demand change
- Help support the creation and ongoing distribution of consolidated weekly and monthly reporting for price trading initiatives across key customer and business metrics to be shared with wider business
- Supporting and assisting the Pricing Merchandiser in delivering Price Scrape data from a third party and consolidating with internal product trading data
- Building a relationship with both internal and external teams to support the Price Trading process
- Ensure that POS and CAYG strategies are executed under exact guidelines: territory, currency, timings
- Become an expert in the use of the Internal Pricing Insight Tool to produce Pricing Insight Reports for wide readership group
- Assisting in building and maintaining the process through which the business manages Branded Pricing Data at a territory level
- Support the Head of Pricing and Promotions with administrative tasks
Qualifications
We’d love to meet someone who…
- Previous experience of working in a retail or pricing role, at MAA level or equivalent
- Experience of managing volumes of data, and executing price changes preferable, but not essential
- You are energetic and like working at fast pace, whilst having a passion for interpreting data to solve problems
- High organisation skills, able to use initiative and to work in pressurised environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues
- Meticulous nature
- Computer literate and able to use both Excel and Powerpoint applications to an intermediate level
- High numerical competency
- Flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic and a team player
