The Sourcing team ensure that all ASOS Own Buy suppliers are fit for purpose and deliver “Fashion with Integrity” and this is an important role that will help us to achieve this mission. The responsibilities of the role will include managing current supplier relationships and supplier on-boarding. Working closely with ASOS Commercial teams and suppliers, our mission is to deliver a sustainable supply base which is capable of delivering our ‘Fashion with Integrity’ strategy. You will work closely with our commercial teams and suppliers to develop more transparent and sustainable supply chains across the globe.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the role will include...
Supporting Supplier Management
- Supports sourcing team by chasing up outstanding information for sourcing projects
- Support sourcing team to scope new opportunities and work closely with buying teams and suppliers to send out samples for costing
- Supports the Sourcing team by scoping out trips/ travel
- Manages the departmental travel tracker - ensures it sent to Finance for key dates
- Responsible for agendas for meetings
- Responsible for managing the updates to the supplier capabilities
- Responsible for Post/ sending out parcels
- Responsible for updating the master supplier database - ensuring updated supplier contact details are held at all times
- Responsible for monitoring the Sourcing inboxes
Managing Data and Key Tasks
- Raising general Sourcing PO's - completed through Dynamics
- Inputs data into the supplier roll - ensures data is accurate for approval by others
- Manages supplier contracts
- Supplier on-boarding/ factory on-boarding - manages forms and responsible for keeping the supplier database updated
Qualifications
We’d love to meet, someone with…
- A background in Fashion Retail, in a Sourcing or related role
- Strong relationship building skills
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Excel
- The ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of Retail, including Buying, Merchandising, Fabric, Ethical and Sustainable teams
- A passion for the ASOS brand, values and 'Fashion with Integrity' strategy
- The ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience of managing and developing a team
