    The Position

    As a Graduate / Junior Bid Manager, you will work alongside a team of Bid Managers to support on larger, complex bids assisting the Bid Manager from the kick-off to handover to delivery, managing the plan to mobilise, produce and approve the bid through the sales lifecycle.

    The candidate will learn and develop there skills and  will be accountable for managing the end-to-end bid process, bid production, and stakeholders as required to prepare high quality, winning bids to support sales strategies and growth plans for small to mid-sized bids.

    You will reporting to the Director of Bids you will initially be shadowing other Bid Managers and receiving on the job training, with regular reviews by the Director of Bids to monitor and guide your progress

    As our Junior Bid Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by

    • Work alongside established bid managers to support on large, complex opportunities
    • Produce compliant, written proposals and supporting materials by creating content, sourcing content from within the extended team, or adapting existing collateral.
    • Updating and managing content libraries and other bid tools such as the reference database 
    • Manage bids and proposals of small – medium sized opportunities through the sales lifecycle to on-time approval and submission.
    • Act as the project manager for the bid phase, actively managing risks, ensuring resources are contributing as required, and running a realistic and achievable plan
    • Mobilise and manage the virtual team and input from all stakeholders contributing to the bid including sales, technical, delivery, commercial, legal and supply chain
    • Arrange and chair bid meetings including the Gate reviews and other bid meetings according to the bid process, and record and share minutes, actions, and other outputs.
    • Understand the winning bid strategy based on sales and pre-sales input and ensure it is applied to the bid responses
    • Manage all bid registration and submission processes as required by the customer process including notarization, submission of company financial and legal information, customer references and sample materials.
    • Capture all costs and present them correctly in cost and pricing models, engaging commercial and finance specialists for more complex deals as necessary. 
    • Arrange post bid reviews including, lessons learnt, no bid, losses and wins, communicate key findings and recommend improvements. 
    • Hand over comprehensive and accurate information to the project team ensuring they are fully informed of the bid, including any outstanding items that require mitigation. 
    • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the bid process and the tools used. 
    • Ensure that bids are produced in full compliance with HID company guidelines and policies

    Your Qualifications and Experience include

    • A degree in a business-related or similar subject, English language or literature, or relevant technical field is required for this role. 
    • Ability to demonstrate the required skills through work experience and educational activities. 
    • Up to 2 years’ experience in preparation of proposals and bids, sales support role or similar would help but is not essential as full training will be given
