    As our Concept and Virtual Verification Industrial Placement, you’re an enthusiastic, proactive, data-driven individual with an inquisitive mindset. You’ll have a genuine interest in working within a technical environment and would thrive on the chance to learn about various departments within AML and the car industry, as well as develop your CAD skills further. The variety of components and cars you’ll be working on will provide ample opportunities and experiences to further your understanding of solution-focused outcomes.

    The role

    You’ll be supporting the Concept and Package team with CAD creation in virtual environments, ensuring that the package geometry aligns with the vehicle's specifications and targets. You’ll liaise with other departments to address package-related concerns and support meetings to ensure timely project completion. Additionally, you will be involved in Virtual Series activities, benchmarking activities, and data analysis.

    In this role, you’ll be given the chance to learn, take on responsibilities, and deal with various aspects of the car design process. Your enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities will be crucial to excel in this role.

    You’ll have the opportunity to experience how critical the vehicle engineering team is to supporting Aston Martin in its business objectives and overall strategy. You’ll gain invaluable experience working cross-functionally with key support functions such as body, electrical, chassis, design, and attributes teams gaining a clear understanding of how each department interlinks and how their decisions impact the overall business resulting in building our ultra-luxury performance cars.

    Key Requirements 

    • University students pursuing an engineering degree, graduating in 2025.
    • Evidence of passion and achievements in academic/or non-academic activities
    • Aspiration/commitment to pursue a career in engineering.
    • Strong solution-focussed mindset
    • Fulltime Gaydon-based with occasional travel to our Wellesbourne site.

    Fixed Industrial placement start date: Monday 2nd September 2024.
