    Job Description

    Sourcing & Supply within UK Operations manages the material flow through the factory, enabling our packaging and processing areas to produce stock for customer orders to over 100 countries globally.

    The Master Data Associate (MDA) will work in a rapidly changing business environment and will act as part of a flexible team executing master data (MD) change across a range of IT Systems used within UK Operations (eg. ICON, EWM, PAS-X, APO). Key aspects of the role are to create and maintain MD in IT systems to ensure compliant the flow of material through the supply chain.

    The MDA will have knowledge of IT processes and system functionality together with an understanding of related business processes to ensure that MD is complete, accurate and maintained to ensure there are no interruptions to product manufacture and supply. In addition the MDA will process data efficiently and will create and follow predefined processes to ensure consistency and compliance.

    They will work closely and develop strong relationships with other business functions such as Production, Planning, Pack Change, Inbound/Outbound and QA.

    Responsibilities

    • Data Management and Support
    • Create, maintain and approve master data in a range of systems ensuring no impact to product manufacture and supply, for example
    • Review and progress the relevant steps within the GLBP system by assessing technical impact/component requirements.
    • Process warehouse inventory and stock movements within UKOps to maintain inventory accuracy and efficient material flow.
    • Progress the required steps in Icon workflow to support ongoing production and associated data changes.

    Generate Master Data reports to support key stakeholders within the business

    • Understand and adhere to data lifecycle processes and procedures (create, update, discontinue, archive)
    • Ensure that relevant local, regional and global standards and processes are adhered to within own area of responsibility.
    • Review and recommend changes to processes and tools within own area
    • Support NPI and business change projects (e.g. product switches) that have a MD element connected to the project
    • Work according to current relevant GMP instructions
    • To build and maintain excellent working relationships throughout the Supply Chain, Production, Project and Global functions.

    Teamwork & Communication

    • Work without direct supervision and with a large degree of independence
    • The role holder should be a dedicated team player with a service-orientated and customer-focused mind-set.
    • The role holder should have a structured way of working and attention to detail, adaptable to change with a will to continuously become more efficient.
    • Provide specialist guidance and advise on areas of expertise through influence and business relationship management
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide network across the business, and be part of a team to deliver powerful results in-line with business objectives

    Business & Functional Knowledge

    • Understanding of a range of IT Systems used within UK Operations (eg. ICON, EWM, PAS-X, APO, Gazelle) and how MD is used in UK Operations
    • Strong understanding of the supply chain and manufacturing processes.
    • Strong technical knowledge of data processing techniques

    Problem Solving

    • Is a problem-solver with the ability to proactively take on and resolve practical and conceptual problems using own initiative and lean tools to drive and influence business change.
    • Identification of opportunities and threats in order to recommend options to address these.

    Essentials

    • Demonstrated attention to detail
    • Pharmaceutical industry experience
    • IT Literate
    • Experience and knowledge of SAP ERP (ICON) and other IT systems

    Desirables

    • Experience within manufacturing, packaging and working within a GMP controlled environment would be advantageous
    • Exposure to Lean ways of working and methodologies would also be a benefit
