    Your purpose

    Joining a fast growing Mechanical, and Electrical capability supporting a variety of exciting projects that include Hinkley Point C (HPC), Sizewell C (SZC), Small Modular Reactors (SMR) and Defence based.     We are looking for Mechanical, Building Services or Process engineers with HVAC experience to join our Power New Build business to support the work we are doing across the nuclear sector, from Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C to fusion and science and industry projects. This is an exciting time for the Nuclear sector, with increasing opportunities to get involved in the delivery of our Net Zero projects at all stages, from concept design though to construction and commissioning.

    You will enjoy working with others, sometimes directly at client sites, sometimes from our offices. You will be willing to learn new skills, and open to a range of opportunities.

    In addition to building excellent relationships within Atkins, you’ll be able to build excellent relationships with our clients, being able to provide proactive support to a team or client within a project . You’ll also have the ability to work individually or as part of multi-disciplinary teams. In addition to having strong communication and analytical skills, you have a ‘can-do’ approach and are not afraid to ask questions.

    You are able to demonstrate the following key attributes

    • Experience in the design, commissioning or assessment of industrial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems (e.g., for nuclear or industry applications).
    • In the absence of direct HVAC experience, you have an in-depth knowledge of comparable component parts (heat exchangers, compressors, chillers, fans).
    • A degree in a related engineering-based discipline (e.g., mechanical/ process /building services).

    We’d love you to also have some of the following

    • An interest in the Nuclear sector or relevant Nuclear experience.
    • Experience of site-based operations, construction or commissioning.
    • An interest in the review and acceptance of HVAC equipment.
    • If you speak French, that would be a bonus.
