The role
This exciting opportunity has been designed to support someone who is motivated and passionate, this would suit a Graduate who is looking to make the step to a field sales role. Working for Atlas Copco Power Technique, towards a Regional Sales Manager role, you will be responsible for sales of portable diesel and electric compressors and all handheld equipment, through mainly direct channels.
You will be mentored by one of our experienced team members to allow you to provide customer solutions, prepare sales quotations and work towards sales targets. You will have all the tools for the work such as a car, laptop, phone, and a great compensation package with the ability to earn a commission.
Atlas Copco Power Technique in the UK is made up of a small dedicated team of outstanding employees who support our distributors and customers with our wide range of solutions. These products are used across a vast range of industries – from construction sites, and offshore platforms, to sporting events and everything in between. In the given territory special attention will be given to the development of our medium air and large air business, and applications for portable electric compressors.
What we expect of you
You will develop existing accounts, maintain resale channels, and also find prospects and convert them to new customer accounts. We are looking for a person with a technical understanding (or a desire and passion to learn) who is prepared to travel and conduct face-to-face meetings with both new and existing accounts/prospects.

What your day would look like
- You will develop existing accounts and look for new direct sales opportunities
- You will utilise the CRM system and work closely with the marketing team.
- You will promote specialist products with a view to converting these into orders
- You will work with the Business Line Manager to implement strategies and business plans
- You will proactive account management of key accounts
- You will manage of all customer data, including opportunities and the preparation and submission of quotes.
- You will develop knowledge of all relevant products
- You will make appointments and visit customers
What you can expect from us
- 12 months training, learning, and integration; you will initially work largely from the Head Office in Hemel Hempstead, and conduct some external face-to-face customer visits supported by the Business Line Manager before becoming fully ‘field based’.
