    The role

    We are seeking a talented User Experience Designer to work on our next-generation cloud solutions serving the construction industry. Your role will be about synthesizing your learnings and creating solutions that both solves customer pain points and meets business objectives. You will actively champion human centred design and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.  ​

    Responsibilities                             

    • Help distil customer needs into a set of capabilities that will benefit the customer in the most effective way.
    • Learn how business, marketing, design and technical opportunities, goals and constraints become integrated into product designs.
    • Conceptualise and create compelling artifacts (conceptual diagrams, wireframes, task flows, storyboards, prototypes, documentation, etc.) that outline present conditions and proposed solutions to gain strategic alignment and encourage innovation within and across the organization 
    • Compare, contrast, and prioritize among alternative approaches to meet design objectives, using judgment to suggest optimal solutions to design problems that balance customer learning needs, business constraints, and technological realities 
    • Assist in customer research activities during the planning, strategy development, and early design of solutions and you may be able to meet with customers and development partners to validate designs and make iterative improvements 
    • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation 
    • Participate in design review sessions with other user experience designers and receive constructive feedback that will help you develop your design abilities

    Required qualifications and experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent work experience.
    • A solid understanding of user centred design (UCD) and user experience methodologies as well as a good foundational understanding of design principles and frameworks.
    • Innovative and creative thinker with good organisational skills to support the rest of the team, with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
    • Ability to work across multiple functions and in a distributed virtual team environment.
    • A determination to achieve and succeed.
    • The motivation to maintain and improve design standards.
    • The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve.
    • Excellent communication (technical and non-technical) and relationship skills with internal stakeholders
    • Ability to work on a of range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation and drive them from concept to conclusion 

    Preferred qualifications 

    • Experience applying UX within Agile development environments 
    • Experience working with 3D graphics and/or Autodesk products 
    • Experience with user research, analytics and remote testing platforms
    • Experience in large, distributed, enterprise organisations
