The AXA XL Graduate Program is a structured and immersive two-year global program for graduates seeking real responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference. The Program enables you to fast-track an international career and develop your leadership and technical skills through exposure in the leading Property & Casualty (P&C) insurer worldwide. The Program combines job rotations into a variety of business areas including an international assignment, training and development programs, study towards industry-recognised professional qualifications, and involvement in inclusion and diversity, climate and sustainability initiatives.
We launched the Graduate Program in the UK in 2009 and took it global in 2012 to bolster the ranks of new talent in the Company. The Program supports you to gain the necessary skills to become a future leader in the AXA Group. Throughout the Program, you will have the opportunity to play an integral role on high-impact initiatives across our global business.
Business Rotations
The AXA XL Graduate Program offers a robust rotational element, enabling you to spend time in different areas of our global insurance and reinsurance businesses. This will give you an understanding of how the Company operates as a whole and how our teams connect to other functions and will help you make contacts at all levels of the organisation. You will complete three to four-month rotations in each major business area and before you complete the program, we will ask you about your career preferences and match it with our business needs to determine your final placement.
Leveraging the global footprint of AXA, all graduates will complete an international assignment outside of their home country. You will experience working in a different culture, living outside of your comfort zone, and perhaps even learning a new language.
Learning and Development Programs
Joining a new company can be a bit daunting, so to help you to settle in you’ll have guidance from our senior leaders and industry-recognised risk experts. The program starts with an orientation, where you’ll learn more about yourself, the insurance industry, AXA XL and your graduate journey. Throughout the year, you will participate in various learning and development programs such as in-person training, e-Learning, conferences and workshops to develop your competencies in the areas of influencing and negotiating, communication, business acumen, project management, etc. You will be given the chance to network with senior leaders in the Company and even present to them a strategic business project that you will lead during your rotations.
