The AXA XL GT Graduate Program is a structured and immersive 20 months global program for graduates seeking a real responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference. The Program enables you to fast-track an international career and develop your leadership and technical skills through exposure in the leading Property & Casualty (P&C) insurer worldwide.
The role
The Program combines job rotations into a variety of GT areas including strategic projects, networking, training and development programs, study towards industry-recognized professional qualifications, and involvement in inclusion and diversity, climate and sustainability initiatives.
Cloud Transformation aims at transforming our internal IT services to leverage common IT services and new standards, new technologies, increased level of automation and new ways of working. Ultimately, among other objectives, this program aims to create a standardized, scalable, and more secure technical foundation which provides AXA XL with a set of Cloud platforms to deliver our guiding principle of being a tech-led division.
What you'll do
- You will have five months rotations in our major GT areas – IT Security, Digital Factory, Application Solution and GT Transformation. This robust rotational element gives you an excellent understanding of how the Global Technology operates as a whole and how our teams connect to each other, as well as help you make contact at all levels of the organization.
- During the Program, you will complete a dedicated training path developing technical and soft skills as well as basic knowledge of the world of insurance ; for Cloud Transformation, training on Microsoft Azure Essentials (and if interested, other Microsoft Azure Cloud skills) is part of that path
- Throughout the Program, you will have the opportunity to play an integral role on high-impact initiatives across our global business. You will have the guidance from our senior leaders and industry-recognized experts.
What would you learn during rotation
- Supporting Cloud migration lead and his team in migration projects
- Understanding Cloud dependencies and transition between old and new worlds
- Developing engineering skills in different technologies well
- Learning about strategic choices when moving to Cloud or creating products in Cloud
- Learning about various technologies and applications
- Participating in projects in scrums using agile principles of project/product management and adaptation of the processes to the problem at hand for a given application migration, scaled to company level

- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in simple terms
- Self-motivated, with the ability to organize and prioritize and complete tasks to tight deadlines
- Interest in new technology – Cloud
Our candidates undergo a very selective recruitment process that attracts only the best students worldwide. Applicants complete an online registration, CV and cover letter. There will be two rounds of interviews to assess the candidates’ leadership competencies as well as fit for the program. Lastly, there will be an assessment center where candidates are asked to solve real-life business problems and present their recommendations to a panel of senior executives.
