We have an exciting opportunity for an SQL Analyst that will support our Data Team. Reporting to our Data Change Manager, within our COO function that is part of AXA Commercial, we're seeking an ambitious individual to take on this challenge and take advantage of this great opportunity. In this role you'll help deliver use cases which supports a transition of data capabilities into including the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

What you’ll be doing
- Support the Commercial data strategy, providing key insights and analytics to enable an informed strategic decision-making process.
- Take ownership of the review, analytics and interpretation of data, providing insights to track operational performance against strategy, initiatives and projects.
- Create data led reporting and insight to drive operational efficiencies and support the business to reach their goals, enabling us to better serve our customers.
- Write SQL scripts, queries and stored procedures to extract data and develop complex advancement reports.
- Knowledge and understanding of data governance and GDPR, proactively following procedure and flagging any identified data issues.
- Working within an agile team, following agile methodologies and ways of working.
- Create solutions to support analysis requirements within the business.
- Develop, implement and manage underlying database tables to allow effective use of data.
- Requirements gathering to extract, transform and summarise data.
- Develop reports/dashboards which deliver an enhanced user experience that support the AXA business, data management and data quality.
- Ensure all work is unit tested, reviewed by peers and signed off accordingly
- Provide technical supporting documentation for all development work as it is developed.
- Understand the business implications/effects of the data and systems.
- Pro-active and frequent interaction with key business users, with strong stakeholder management demonstrated.

Qualifications
- Experience with MS SQL Server.
- Proven knowledge of T-SQL including stored procedures, writing complex queries and table design.
- Ability to develop and deliver Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerBI reports.
- Advanced SQL writing and Databricks/Python skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Access and VBA.
- Ability to complete analysis and presenting results in a clear and legible format
- Confidence to liaise with stakeholders, able to interact with customers at all levels
- Knowledge of business processes and systems to enable analysis and identify/discuss efficiencies
- A willingness and eagerness to learn new methods and technologies.
- Systems knowledge of I90/Mainframe, Acturis and ELTO desirable.
- Salesforce, SSIS and Microsoft Office Suite experience advantageous.
- Experience of working in an Agile environment.
