We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern to join our team in Stratford on a 1-year fixed term contract. The primary responsibility of this role is to work alongside Axis’ Responsible Business Team to support the development and communication of people, community, and environment activity.

What you'll do 

Axis seeks a CSR Intern to work alongside its Responsible Business Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for corporate social responsibility and the benefit it brings to employees, clients, and the local community. This role will involve a lot of organisation and creative skills, it is therefore essential that you are a strong communicator and possess a positive attitude and desire to make a difference. You will be encouraged to develop writing skills, knowledge, and experience in all relevant aspects of communications and engagement. As part of your development, you will also take on responsibility for small projects to support the Responsible Business Team

Key tasks include

  • Create and publish engaging articles for the company's intranet and corporate website, ensuring alignment with company messaging and objectives
  • Develop and manage the monthly Responsible Business (RB) newsletter using Active Campaign, including content creation, design, and distribution to all employees
  • Maintain and grow the company's presence on social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn by posting relevant and engaging content
  • Utilise design software such as Canva Pro to create visually appealing infographics, flyers, and e-shots when required, showcasing creativity and attention to detail
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practice, incorporating new ideas and strategies to continuously improve corporate communications

Qualifications and experience

  • GCSE 4 & above (A-C) in Maths & English or equivalent
  • Suitable for gap year, placement year or graduate-level student

Key skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and confidence to use social media platforms and develop creative content
  • Experience working with WordPress, Active Campaign and Canva Pro desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects
  • Ability to network and build relationships with stakeholders
