    How does this role help us to succeed?

    To support the ongoing requirements and future development of a group-wide cyber accumulation process for Insurance and reinsurance.

    The role will primarily focus on the data required to support the team and will involve modelling of cyber risks, production of accumulation reports and regulatory reports, review of data availability, quality and enhancement, and supporting the development of a largely automated portfolio roll-up process.

    As part of the cyber exposure management team, the role will support wider activity, including research, model testing and validation work.

    Key responsibilities

    • Identifying, collecting, cleansing, importing and analysing cyber exposure data on a regular basis.
    • Supporting the automation of the exposure data process to minimize manual intervention, including maintaining and updating the relevant scripts as necessary.
    • Producing exposure and loss summaries and preparing exhibits for internal and external reporting.
    • Contributing to team tasks, including regulatory returns, general research, model development, validation and sensitivity tests, and data collation for outwards reinsurance.
    • Providing ad hoc support to other GU projects, depending on the group’s priorities.

    What you need to have

    • A graduate degree
    • Excellent numeracy skills, organisation skills with attention to detail
    • Excellent written verbal and communication skills
    • Microsoft Office skill set essential, particularly Excel
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Strong problem-solving skills

    What we prefer you to have

    • Experience using SQL or alternative database language
    • R Studio / Python
    • Knowledge of cyber risk
    • Basic insurance market knowledge

    In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week.
