About Axis Academy

AXIS Academy is a learning and development platform reflecting our commitment to helping our employees grow throughout their career journey – especially given the demands of navigating in such a dynamic industry. The Academy programs will enable people across all organizational levels to build their core knowledge and skills, while helping them to develop increasingly relevant capabilities for the pursuit of new challenges. Early Career Intern cohorts focus on building core (re)insurance concepts and fundamental technical skills through classroom instruction and via placement within a business area, allowing them to apply these new skill-sets towards real-world business initiatives. 

Summer Internship Programme

This internship will give you an opportunity to see what a career at AXIS is like first-hand.  Interns will receive on-the-job training and the opportunity to work on meaningful projects. We have intern positions available in a variety of disciplines, including Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, HR, Compliance, Operations, and more!

This internship will be 10 weeks long during the summer. Official start and end dates to be determined.  

Requirements

• Must be in the penultimate year of a bachelor’s program. All degree courses considered.
• Good communication (telephone, e-mail and interpersonal) skills  
• Strong analytical and organizational skills 
• Good working knowledge of software:  All Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel 

Desirable

• Able to identify and solve problems 
• Able to prioritize and learn quickly 
• Decision making, prioritizing, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently 
• Desire to learn and start a career in the (re)insurance industry 
• Motivated self-starter
